Cuban Picadillo
You know the 1970's tacos, Grandma Jan's Bolognese, Etc? Well this recipe came from the same place (my Mom) and from the same time in the 1970's! I remember having this as a kid and loving it for the juicy raisins and salty olives. Here we slow cook grass fed ground beef with a little tomato, stock, a drop of cumin, onion, garlic raisins and olives ... a drop of vinegar and a sprinkle of sugar, and it is SO GOOD. On the side, white rice cooked in home made chicken stock a and whole black beans. Absolute comfort food!
